BRAKE MASTER CYULINDER REPAIR (Sheet 3 of 5)
CLEANING AND INSPECTION:
WARNING
Dry cleaning solvent P-D-680 is toxic and flammable. To prevent personal injury, wear protective
goggles and gloves and use only in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with in eyes, and
clothes and don't breathe vapors. Do not use near open flame or excessive heat. The flash point
for Type 1 Dry Cleaning Solvent is 100 F (38 C) and for Type 12 is 138PF (50"C). If you become
dizzy while using leaning solvent, get fresh air immediately and get medical aid. It contact with
eyes is made, wash your eyes with water and get medical aid immediately.
1.
Clean all metallic parts in dry cleaning solvent.
2.
Visually inspect cylinder bore (A) for scratches, pits, or glazing. Replace cylinder if unserviceable.
3.
Visually inspect inside cylinder by looking in hole (B) and check hole pattern (C) on bottom of master cylinder.
