NYLON BALLISTIC SHIELD REMOVAL PROCEDURE (CONT)

PROCEDURE
STEP
U s i n g 7/16 inch socket wrench with extension, remove eleven screws (1)
1.
lockwashers (2) flat washers (3) and five metal strips (4) holding nylon
ballistics shield (5) to gun mount.
Using 9/16 inch socket wrench with extension, remove twenty-three nuts (6), flat washers (7), and

metal clips (8) holding nylon ballistic shield (5) to turret.
Remove lacing (9) at lower left of nylon ballistic shield (5).
3.
Open nylon ballistic shield (5) at split where lacing (9) was tied.
4.
Fold upper section of nylon ballistic shield (5) down on top of gun mount.

Using 7/16 inch socket wrench with extension, remove five screws (1), five lockwashers (2), five flat

washers (3), and three metal strips (10) holding nylon ballistic shield (5) to gun mount.
Work nylon ballistic shield (5) over gun mount toward right side.
7.
Remove ballistic shield (5).
