STEERING CONTROL CONNECTING LINK (RISER LINK TO TRANSMISSION SHAFT LINK)
REPLACEMENT (Sheet 2 of 3)
REMOVAL:
Using wrench, remove two bolts (A).

Remove connecting link (B).
2.
Inspect rod end bearings (C) (TM 9-214).

NOTE
If rod end bearings must be replaced,
perform steps 4 thru 6.
Using two wrenches, loosen two nuts (D) and

remove two rod end bearings (C).
Using two wrenches, install new rod end
5.
bearings (C).
Using torque wrench and crow foot
6.
wrench, tighten nuts (D) to 15-20 lb-ft
(20-27 N-m).
