If torsion bar is broken, use adjustable

wrench to remove plug at opposite side of
tank.
16. Stick rod through plug hole. Using mallet, tap
rod to drive torsion bar out from other end.
17. Replace torsion bar or other parts found
defective.
INSTALLATION:
CAUTION
Six torsion bare (E) on one side of tank are different from six
bare on other side. Left aide bars have arrow pointing counter.
clockwise. Right aide bare have arrows pointing clockwise.
Alignment for No. 1 and 2 torsion bar index marks is at 1130
hrs.
