media should be handled by personnel
wearing protective equipment. Consult
the unit NBC officer or NBC
noncommissioned officer for
appropriate handling or disposal
procedures.
Before
(2) Check the air filter service indicator.
Refer to “Maintenance Section, When
Required, Engine Air Intake System,
Service Filter Elements.”

ready/available if red reappears
in the window after the
indicator has been reset and
the engine operated at full
speed.

(3) Check all visible hoses in the air filter
compartment for leaks.
• The equipment is not
ready/available if class III leaks
are present.
