Check voltage regulator lead from regulator to vehicle

ground for continuity.

Set multimeter
to OHMS X 1 scale and “zero”
meter, or use STE/ICE
Test No. 91) (page 4-83).
Connect red probe of meter to voltage regulator
lead

to voltage regulator and bl;ck probe to
ground.
Check if meter indicates continuity.

Does meter indicate continuity?

l Clean and tighten loose
voltage
regulator
lead
connections.
l If connection
are not loose,
replace damaged voltage
regulator
lead (page 10-18).
