Check service brake for adjustment:
Both Technicians (Left and Right Side of Vehicle)
l Block tracks to prevent movement of vehicle,
First Technician (Rear Gril]e Doors)
l Remove Iockwires and plugs (one located on each side
of transmission
rear housing) from brake inspection
holes,
Second Technician (Operators Station)
l Press brake pedal and hold when pressure of 750 to 900
psi is reached.
First Technician (Rear Grille Doors)
l Check if index line marked A (Applied) aligns within
1/64 inch of chiseled line located on edge of brake
anchor.
Second Technician (Operators Station)
l Release brakes,
First Technician (Rear Grille Doors)
l Check if index line marked R (Released) alines within
1/64 inch of chiseled line located on edge of brake
anchor.
Are service brakes properly adjusted?
