Check service brake for proper adjustment.

l B!ock tracks to prevent movement of vehicle.

l Remove brake access covers (page 16-36).
l Remove Iockwires and plugs from brake inspection
holes located in transmission rear housing left and right
side.
Second Technician

Station)
l Depress brake pedal and observe that pressure gage
indicates 750 to 900 psi and keep depressed.

l Check if index line marked “A” (Applied) alines within
1/64 inch of chiseled line located on edge of brake
anchor.

l Release brakes.

l Check if index line marked “R” (Released) alines within
1/64 inch of chiseled line located on edge of brake
anchor.
