SMOKE GENERATOR SWITCH OR GUARD REPLACEMENT (Sheet 2 of 2)
Be sure ON position is up, and position switch (A) to backside of mounting bracket (B).
Position guard (C) over switch (A). Be sure toggle lever on switch is down.
Using screwdriver, install two screws and new lockwashers (D) to secure guard (C) and switch (A)
to bracket (B).
Connect switch-to-light indicator lead (E) to light indicator (F) connector.
Connect switch connector (G) to harness connector.
Never activate smoke generator in
a building or closed area or with
Start engine (TM 9-2350-222-10) and run until
normal operating temperatures are attained.
Run engine at 1600 rpm.
Place SMOKE GENERATOR switch (A) to ON
for 10 seconds.
Look for white smoke emitting from exhaust.
Shut down engine (TM 9-2350-222-10).
