FUEL TANK (LEFT AND RIGHT) LEVEL GAGE TRANSMITTER REPLACEMENT

Steps 1, 2, and 3 only apply to
right fuel gage transmitter.
Using 1/2 inch socket, remove three screws and
securing bracket (C), safety chain (D), and cover
Using wrench to hold nut, use 7/16 inch socket to remove screw, lockwasher, washer, and nut (F)
securing clamp to bracket (C). Throw lockwasher away.
Remove bracket (C) and cover (E).
Disconnect electrical lead (G) from transmitter
Using pliers, cut and remove lockwire (J).
Using screwdriver, remove five screws and
washers (K) securing transmitter (H) to fuel
until float arm gears (L) are visible in fuel tank
Reach in with finger and pull upon visible tip
of float arm. Pull transmitter (H) out of fuel
tank opening (M) until float appears.
