General safety considerations and precautions for
movement are as follows:
a. Each vehicle must be checked to ensure that
all loose items are secured in accordance with
applicable regulations (operators manual for M9
ACE, TM 5-2350-262-10).
b. The vehicle must be driven by qualified
c. Drivers must not leave their station while the
engine is running.
d. When the vehicle is in motion, it should not
be mounted or dismounted.
e. Personnel must not ride on the vehicle.
f. Personnel must not smoke in or on the vehicle
or within 50 feet of a refueling area.

stop before it is driven into or out of a building.
